Activities

We provide books to borrow, we have a growing number of donated books .. books are available at the Loveland 912 Project Group meetings..

You can help:
  • Donate a book or a book CD to the 9 12 Book Committee.
  • Read our books: Check out a book; recommend to keep 2-4 weeks; return and sign back in.
  • Look at the Recommended Book List (Select "Reading to Enlighten You" from the Get Informed - 912 Project Menu on the left sidebar), find ideas about books to read, contact us with suggestions to add to the list.

We write book summaries, they are posted as a Book Report (Book Reports Menu item on right sidebar).

We plan to present 3-5 minute book reports at main Loveland 912 Project meeting. We are looking for volunteers to do this ( plan in advance/inform Book Chair so we can get on the agenda). This could highlight books you find especially, useful as we grow our knowledge of US history, the Constitution, the founding of our nation, and how we got to where we are these past decades.

Other ideas we are exploring...

Any interest in a 'fast track' book review/discussion?  The idea would be to read a book each month and to discuss during a portion of the monthly meeting.  Please let me know.

How about starting a neighborhood 'book club', to discuss important historical books, such as are posted on our site, or that you find of historical significance.
