It seems that many are bent on apologizing for America and are even going to such lengths as to tear down the fabric of the American way of life designed by our Founding Fathers. Our elected officials on both sides of the aisle, at all levels seem to discard the Constitution with reckless abandon.

If Americans have anything to apologize for it is for abandoning the wisdom and vigor of our Founding Fathers and ignoring the Constitution and Bill of Rights for the sake of turning its citizens into subjects of a sugar-daddy government.

We have conveniently ignored the education of our children by neglecting to teach them the principles of our nations founding and why our constitutional republic provides true liberty for the individual. Yes, if we have anything to apologize for it is for blinding ourselves to the vigilance necessary to maintain the vision of our Founding Fathers.

In a few days we will be celebrating the birth of America, a nation unlike any other in the history of mankind. It was conceived as nation believing in individual freedom and liberty versus the control and fettering of an oppressive government.

There are a growing number of people right here in Loveland that are tired of the back and forth struggle between left and right, liberal versus conservative, Democrat versus Republican and want to see America return to the vision the Founding Fathers and our Constitutional Republic. It is the Loveland 912 group.

We are committed through our actions and efforts to defend the Constitution and restore the Republic to its founding principles.

The 912 Loveland Group was formed in March and is the organization that hosted the Loveland Tax Day Tea Party. We will be gathering for the Independence Day celebration at North Lake Park for a full, fun day with like minded people. We will be joined by our patriotic friends, the Northern Colorado Fife and Drum Corps for a walk through the park and the firing of cannons.
