OUR SUGGESTIONS TO REDUCE GOVERNMENT UNTIL WE CAN DROWN IT IN THE BATHTUB:

FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC PRIVATIZATION---------------------------------------------------------------ANNUAL SAVINGS MINIMUM OF $12 BILLION

US DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE ELIMINATION----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ANNUAL SAVINGS $131 BILLION The U.S. Department of Agriculture spent $142 billion in 2010, or about $1,200 for every U.S. household. It operates 237 different subsidy programs and employs 96,000 workers in about 7,000 offices across the nation. It oversees more than 10,700 pages of regulations.

The CATO Institute has done an analysis of the USDA and recommends the following: (1) Abolish all agriculture and rural subsidies; (2) Abolish the department’s food subsidy programs – food stamps and school lunches; and (3) Cede all Forest Service lands to the States.
