GOOD JUDICIAL ACTIONS: |
ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE: |
Judicial Watch and Media Research Center filed lawsuits under the FOIA to obtain documents relating to Justice Elena Kagan’s involvement in Obamacare while she served as Solicitor General. Those documents indicate that Justice Kagan was heavily involved, despite her sworn testimony during her Senate confirmation hearing to the contrary. |
Urge your Representatives to call for an investigation into Justice Kagan’s involvement, because she should, at a minimum, recuse herself from any hearing in the Supreme Court on Obamacare. |
BAD EXECUTIVE BRANCH ACTIONS: |
ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE: |
Congress passed a law prohibiting federal funds going to ACORN. The Supreme Court recently refused to hear an appeal, which upheld the ban. So, why did the Obama Administration, via HUD, give a $79,819 grant to an ACORN branch in Florida? |
Telephone, fax and/or write your Senators and Representative and ask them to investigate the Obama Administration’s flagrant disregard of federal law. |
Despite record spending, record deficits, a lousy economy and threats to default on the nation’s debt, 54% of White House staffers got raises last year. The raises averaged 8%. The average salary is $81,765—65% above the median household income. |
Write to the President and ask him about why he is lavishing money on his staff while the rest of the country is suffering. |
The EPA is abusing the Clean Air Act to regulate carbon and other particulate emissions. Cap and Trade failed in the Senate—one of our better victories. |
Telephone, fax and/or write your Senators and Representatives and ask them to stop the EPA from implementing cap and trade by regulation, when it is clearly a legislative function, and not an executive one. |
Border Patrol agents are being prohibited from actively patrolling wildlife refuges along the US-Mexico border by the Interior Dept. and the US Forest Service—because it could endanger the environment and its wildlife. This allows a smuggler highway through the sensitive areas that are not patrolled. |
Telephone, fax and/or write your Senators and Representatives and ask them to reform land management laws to allow the Border Patrol to do their jobs in a timely fashion. |
BAD COLORADO SCHOOL BOARD ACTIONS: |
ACTIONS YOU CAN TAKE: |
The Thompson School Board voted to give $15,000 of taxpayer money to sue the taxpayers of Colorado in Lobato v. State of Colorado |
Vote out the 3 school board members up for reelection in 2011 and the 3 that are up for reelection in 2013 that approved this |
DO YOU KNOW that Entergy Corp., an energy company that operates two nuclear power plants in New York, and generates power in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and elsewhere, purchased 35,000 tons of greenhouse gas emission reduction credits for $20 Million. This was not required by law or anything else. It was a publicity stunt to garner brownie points from greenie activists—funded by the energy consumers. |
SHAMELESS STIMULUS WASTE: In February, the CBO estimated that every job “saved or created” by the Stimulus cost $228,000. In July, the White House Council of Economic Advisors reported that each job really cost $278,000. |

ABOLISHING THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR----------------------------------------------------------------------ANNUAL SAVINGS $11 BILLION Eliminating the Dept. of the Interior would also eliminate 67,000 federal workers. |
