Mr. Tancredo will be addressing his Initiative 42
To Make Colorado a United Nations Free Zone!
Protect Your 2nd Amendment Right To Bear Arms

WHY INITIATIVE 42
Last October, for the first time in history, the United States delegate to the U.N. voted yes on a U.N. Resolution to negotiate a treaty on small arms trade, with a target date of 2012 for completing a treaty. It would be a grave mistake for opponents to wait for a treaty to be sent to the Senate for ratification. This treaty must be stopped in its tracks NOW!

THE PURPOSE OF INITIATIVE 42
The purpose of Initiative 42 is to amend the Colorado Constitution to declare Colorado a United Nations Free Zone. Specifically, this Amendment would declare and request that all elected public officials in the state oppose by all means available the adoption or ratification of any United Nations treaty or other agreement which impairs, restricts or regulates the right to keep and bear arms.

The issue is sovereignty vs legally binding international treaties that infringe upon our constitutional rights.

Jon CaldaraJon Caldara, President of the Independence Institute
Defend Colorado from Obama Care!

"Colorado has a right to decide how we choose to deal with health care," Caldara told the Denver Post. "And it is my goal to make sure that Washington doesn't jam Obama Care down the throats of Coloradans."

Statement by Independence Institute President Jon Caldara
On Sunday night the US House of Representatives passed what we call "Obama-care." This is one of the darkest moments in American history. The federal government has taken a large step towards control of our healthcare, and with it control of our very bodies. The federal government is taking away our decisions over health insurance and, unprecedented in history, forcing citizens to purchase private products, ultimately under penalty of incarceration.
We at the Independence Institute refuse to watch this atrocity corrode the quality of healthcare in Colorado. For months we have been at work bringing forward an amendment to the Colorado Constitution to preserve as a basic human right our "Right to Health Care Choice." It is my goal to make Colorado a sanctuary state for quality healthcare.

Help defend states' rights in Colorado!! Independence Institute President Jon Caldara is calling for an amendment to the Colorado Constitution that would opt Colorado out of the onerous health insurance mandates coming out of Washington DC. Read the "Right to Health Care Choice" ballot language here.

Scott JamesScott James program director at KCOL, Co-Host of Scott & Sadie in the mornings on Big Country 97.9, and Johnstown City Council member is going to bring back the James Gang. Scott will give us details of the James Gang riding again and talk about how important it is to have conservative values reflected in ALL levels of government - municipal elections and appointments ARE important!
