Memorial Day on Kechter Overpass
Memorial Day was a plethora of weather. An hour and a half before we left Loveland it was down pouring rain and hail. I prayed for an hour of sunshine and the sun came out at 2:45. The storm had passed and we had some great wind to fly Old Glory in honor of those that made the supreme sacrifice for our freedom.
The Loveland 912 Project held a Memorial Day Flag Waving over I-25 at the Kechter overpass. Throughout the day there was an onslaught of down pouring rain, hail and thunder. The skies cleared up at 2:45 PM and stayed sunny and windy for the planned hour of 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
So may cars and trucks went by waving and honking. It was incredible. We did this to honor all of those that made the supreme sacrifice so that we may enjoy the freedoms of living in America. We must not forget their sacrifices!
After we waved our flags we went to Old Chicago and led the patrons in singing God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner. It was awesome!
